  5. All Apple internal and external hard disks are compatible with all Macintosh
  6. CPUs that have a SCSI interface.
  7.  
  8. The version of Apple HD SC Setup version 2.0.4 that ships with all hard disks
  9. is compatible with System 7, but version 7.0 is the recommended version.
  10.  
  11. The upgrade to version 7.0 is free, and the file can be found in this
  12. folder, as well as on the System 7 Group Upgrade Kit CD.

  14. Some hard disks that have been formatted with older versions of HD SC Setup may
  15. require an updated driver in order to function with Virtual Memory.  IT IS NOT
  16. NECESSARY TO REFORMAT THE DRIVE.  If the Memory control panel indicates the
  17. drive needs updating, follow the instructions in the System 7 Personal Upgrade
  18. Kit to use HD SC Setup to update the driver.
